Here is a link to the article in the Oregonian about East Creek. http://www.oregonlive.com/art/index.ssf/2011/03/east_creek_anagama_kiln_near_w.html
It was kinda cool to see this on the front page of the ?art section? of the newspaper on Monday.

My projects--
Platter--trimming tomorrow
Plate--trimming tomorrow
Flaring cups--throwing over break
Pitcher--throwing over break
Teabowl---near future they are going to be a different style though like this picture. In Japan this teabowl is meant for summer time to cool the tea faster then a concave teabowl.

so i threw a couple plates this week and here is a platter/plate i made today... I'm probably going to use them for my breadth. It was also cool to throw with larger amounts of clay because i haven't thrown anything big well in a long time especially since there is only so big a teabowl or a mug can get before it just looks stupid

blogg

Last week I made a set of teabowls and started experimenting with cups. I'm thinking about tall cups with subtle alterations in shape around the middle and then staining a simple design on them and woodfiring them.
